World Cup Time

YAY its time for the world cup and so far the 1st match already became a draw with South Africa and Mexico  with a 1-1 score. I’m not sure what teams I want to go with just yet, I used to root for England and Brazil a lot but now I might have a change of teams.

Well as I’m still deciding what teas to root for the current match with Uruguay and France is boring me a bit, like nothing is really happening. It could be because I’m watching the game on mute cause all off those horn noises going on through the match gets really annoying but it could probably be just the game.

So other than my random babbling are you watching the World Cup and if you are which teams are you rooting for?

Botfly Larvae

So around 1pm-ish today I was channel surfing and came upon discovery channel and saw a show about people being bitten by things aka the title being “I was Bitten” and this one story came on and my reaction was like “OMG”. Ok the story was this kid had recently came back from Costa Rica and was bitten twice on both of his legs (one bite on each leg) after a while they began to puss but he noticed something moving inside the hole where he was bitten and noticed it was a botfly larvae in his leg. I was like ‘awaaaaahhhhhh eeweasdheefihdgjbgd” so I went around the net cause at 1st i forgot what it was that bit him and wanted to know what the worm was that was inside him and Luckily i came upon the actual video of him taking the worms out of his leg.

Yea just a warning don’t watch if your eating or can’t take it cause it was a bit gross. The methods he used to get it out was to use Vaseline to suffocate the larvae making it try to come out of the hole it was in. WOW thats just wack! and it has to hurt like hell because the larvae has little spikes on it body pointing downward towards the tail so imagine he had to pull it out with the little spikes going against the flesh inside his leg. Awwww man the things we learn/see on discovery channel. ITS WACK!

Ohitorisama

みなさん！

I found this interesting Drama called Ohitorisama meaning “one person”. It revolves around the life of Akiyama Satomi who is a very independent women who concentrates mostly all her energy in her workspace, hence she does not have time for romance. Akiyama sensei is well organized, and has superb time management skills……….at work that is. However at home, she is disorganized, she cannot cook so mostly she would order take-out.  She is 33 years old and teaches history at a prestigious all-girl school, high school that is. Because of a teacher getting married the school had to hire a temporary teacher, here comes the phenomenon that makes Akiyama’s world upside down. The substitute teacher’s name is Kamisaka Shinichi, he’s inexperience in teaching and so Akiyama Satomi gets chosen to mentor Kamisaka in honing his teaching skills. Already all the female staff (teachers) are head over heels with Kamisaka, but Akiyama. Oh i forgot to say that Kamisaka sensei is 10 years younger than Akiyama. What will happen with these two unlikely pair?

I really like this drama, the storyline keeps me laughing and intrigue the whole entire time , its only about 11 episodes long.

Playing with Dolls

^^ Dollhouse season 2 is out and as for a season opener it was pretty awesome!!!! Normally seasons tend to start slow but this went straight to where it left off. What I’m really looking for this season is what is Alpha going to be doing and what is Whiskey going to do now that she is the way she is, hmmm how to say this its like she knows everything (well almost everything) she knows who she was somewhat, and she knows that she has been programed. I dunno how to describe it exactly but it looks like this season is going to be very interesting since its revolving around Whiskey too. Also who saw that lil girl on girl scene that was like happening between Echo and Whiskey LAWL, its odd that this scene shows up when Whiskey is checking her XD XD (sorry I can’t type it its to funny)

OK enough of that part. On another note did you grab the Virtual Echo they released? xD I know Kiyoshi is enjoying this little application. It is an interesting application with the web-cam program interaction. I would try to use the web cam interaction thingy but I’m to lazy to get my cam and do it so bleh. Other than that its an interesting application. xD  I just downloaded some more persona’s but I can see Yoshi is going to have this thing running 24/7 and be like OMGHAWTNESSBBQSAWCEELIZHOLLAVANILLAMILKSHAKE!!

In an interview with Seth Mcfarlane for an issue of Playboy Seth admits that Stewie is indeed gay. Even though we all totally saw this coming (except Orlando who is slow as hell) with all the gay things he does, its now official.

in the interview he says;

“We had an episode that went all the way to the script phase in which Stewie does come out. It had to do with the harassment he took from other kids at school. He ends up going back in time to prevent a passage in Leviticus from being written: ‘Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind. It is an abomination.’ But we decided it’s better to keep it vague, which makes more sense because he’s a 1-year-old. Ultimately, Stewie will be gay or a very unhappy repressed heterosexual. It also explains why he’s so hellbent on killing [his mother, Lois] and taking over the world: He has a lot of aggression, which comes from confusion and uncertainty about his orientation.”

R.I.P Traditional Analog

Say goodbye to analog tv everyone. The digital revolution starts today (in the US atleast, europe’s had it for a couple years now)!

Originally scheduled for Feb 17, 2009 but pushed back to many delays from analog-converter-box coupons and busy/retarded customers who wait til last second despite this being announced for the past 2 years – the time has finally come to put away the rabbit ears (or atleast connect them to your converter box if your still using that instead of cable/satelite).

The only thing i shall miss i think is that fact that if you get a bad signal you get a static-ky image with sound as opposed to a new garbled satellite-stuck-in-the-rain feeling of the new airborn digital frequency when low. Hopefully now that were going fully digital the stations will give us some better signal strength without so much old school (i dont wanna say “garbage” but thats what it is now) in the way interfering. They’ll invest in “Tv Translators” (according to the dtv2009 site) to help extend the signal farther to get a better signal for everyone.

Now everyone can enjoy 3-4 different subchannels of channel 6 and 4-5 subchannels of channel 7 as well as a local doplar channel for weather information. what i mean by subchannels is you’ll find for example: 06-1, 06-2, 07-1, 07-2, 07-3. Each with different stuff going on most of the time.

Hope everyone’s ready! With some luck we’ll end the day without opening any portals into any other dimensions. we’ll see
