:: Windows 7 Beta ::
*[insert sound of trumpets]*

It has finally come. The beta edition of the next windows operating system has been released for testing. Along with the beta release of Windows Cloud (the server version of Windows 7) soon underway (gee I wonder where they got the idea to call it that? oh yeah - from APPLE!)
Microsoft Vista was released January 30, 2007, Each new operating system is released every 4 years. This is nothing new, theyre just starting early like always. Nothing new. Honestly I’ve grown quite fond of Vista despite the majority of the population’s constant slander of it.. Yes it is abit of a memory hog, every edition of Microsoft has always taken up a considerable more amount of RAM than it’s predisessors (just never this big of a jump but change is necessary for advancement). I won’t argue that Windows XP is still one of the most stable of all the Windows editions and probably one of the bests ever created from the Windows timeline, but quite frankly Vista’s NOT bad at all. Its not perfect but the only programs that dont work are more in the custom department. Even with the rest theres a secret feature many people arnt away of where if you right-click a program you can run it on Vista using
the WindowsXP settings/parameters as well as certain previous versions. Anyways thats not what this post is about – This is about Windows7.
Apparently they listened to what the users had to say. Windows 7 is being built around our feedback (oh wow theyre finally listening now..? Wonder what made them do that?), so you’ll see a lot of things you’ve asked for. Theyre trying to make everyday tasks faster and easier, make the PC work the way we want it to, and making “new things possible”.
I’ll be posting new features from the 3 Categories of features the new Windows7 is marketing - Faster & Easier, Work your Way, and New Possibilities.
Starting today:
Faster & Easier -> Improved taskbar and full-screen previews

“The taskbar at the bottom of your screen is what you use to switch between the applications you’ve got open. In Windows 7 you can set the order in which the icons appear and they’ll stay put. They’re easier to see, too. Click once on the new large icons or bigger preview thumbnails and you’re ready to go. You can even see a full screen preview before switching to the window.”
One again Microsoft copys Apple! (One again? Wait what are you talking about “once again”?!?). Basicly the dock has been revamped and edited just enough for Windows to claim it as it’s own – atleast the basic idea but atleast this time they took it one or two steps up.
