For those who do not know E3 stands for Electronic Entertainment Expo

They were totally playing Coldplay – VivaLaVida in the background!

Well, The Xbox360 opened up with a preview of The Beatles: Rock Band introduction video. Yea, we definitely needed another Rock Band. The only game that really caught my eye was Splinter Cell: Conviction. The rest of the games I saw did not really care for since they were DLC or Multiplatform.

Besides games they have some new features to add for the Xbox360. “Project Natal: No strings (or controllers) attached. Btw they ranked on Wii, about its predefined motion jesters. You will need the Xbox360 RGB camera, which is a depth senor, multi-array microphone, and custom processor running proprietary software all in one device. Unlike 2-D cameras and controllers, “Project Natal” tracks your full body movement in 3-D, while responding to commands, directions and even a shift of emotion in your voice. Can we say one step closer to terminator time? I have my EMP gun ready how about you! But anyways since the software and hardware would be made from Microsoft; they would probably red ring before they take over! LOL.

In Addition to Netflix (only available in the U.S), you can connect to Facebook and twitter on Xbox LIVE, which means friends are always connected, anytime, anywhere from virtually any couch. But updating your status and sharing photos won’t be the only things you can do. Using Facebook Connect, share your greatest moments in gaming by posting updates and screenshots from supported games directly to Facebook.

At last TV for the Xbox360, Last.fm part of the CBS Interactive Music Group, will give Xbox LIVE subscribers access to millions of songs streaming through Xbox 360 to the best speakers in the house. Xbox LIVE subscribers will be able to create their own free, personalized radio stations and listen to them with friends in the living room or across the country. Btw, you have to be a Xbox LIVE Gold Membership.

Lastly, the Xbox360 can instantly watch movies in 1080p movies, finally. Of course, you will need a 1080p compatible HD TV, an a HDMI cable and broadband speed greater than 8 Mbps for instant viewing at 1080p and 5.1 surround sound. It is Real downer for people who can not afford higher broadband speeds.

playstation 2 beats platstation 3 in sales =O

Well, looking at April’s index sales produce by the NPD group, the playstation 3 found itself beaten its predecessor, the Playstation 2. The Playstation 2 is still a great success, for console that is over 9 years old is still selling like hot cakes. The Playstation 3 and PSP had the most disappointing results, so i will not bother posting the index numbers. Somehow this is feels like Deja vu but only it’s with the Playstation 2.  so, i figure the playstation 2 has about a year or two before they cease the launch of the playstation 2 consoles and more the this generation consoles.  With that being said looks like sony is going to have to make a price cut for playstation 3 if the only platforms their going to have will be the playstation 3 and playstation portable. I can see that $100 price cut like was promised a couple of months ago. DO NOT FAIL ME SONY!!!!

Sony’s Ps3 Price Cut Deception……OH NO!

WHY SONY!?!?!? WHY?!?! Sony PlayStation 3 needs a price cut!  Not the PlayStation 2. Sony confirmed in the early hours Tuesday that it will be dropping its price by $30 for the PlayStation 2 to $99.99.  As a Consumer, I Demand JUSTICE! PlayStation 3 needs a price. Besides, the industry analysts have been saying it’s been needing price cut for the past couple of  months since the PlayStation 3 is the most expensive games machine on the market by a hefty margin.  They having taking so much out the PlayStation 3 it should be lower in price.  So far, Sony has taken out the flash card readers, SACD support and PlayStation 2 compatibility(Which was stupid).  Sony does not need 3 gaming platforms on the market, more focusing on the PsP and Ps3.  I say Take the PlayStation 2(slim) off the market and put in the backward compatibility for PlayStation 2 games, slap some kinda price cut on it.  Pew Pew Sony and make the other gaming consoles QQ.

BoA Meets MapleStory

MapleStory is a free, side-scrolling 2D massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by the South Korean company Wizet. Several versions of the game are available for specific countries or regions, and each is published by various companies such as Wizet and Nexon. Although playing the game is free, to change your character’s appearance and gameplay enhancements are purchased from the Cash Shop using real money. MapleStory has a combined total of over 50 million subscriber accounts in all of its versions. MapleStory North America Global, for players mainly in North America and outside of East Asia, Southeast Asia and Europe, has over three million players.

In the game, as a player you travel through the Maple World, defeating monsters and developing their character’s skills and abilities as is typical in rpg. Players can interact with others in many ways, such as chatting with other players, trading items, and playing the minigames. Groups of players can band together in parties to hunt monsters and share the rewards. Players can also join a guild to interact more easily with each other and do guild dungeons.

By personal experience MapleStory is a good game, however, the experience you get from killing monsters is not that great. Once, your around level 80,  it’s takes hours and hours of grinding to get to the next level and your barely on your 3rd job class. That’s why i switch over to a private server XD. Private servers ftw!

Basically, BoA wants you to make a MapleStory video with her new single “I Did it For Love” and you win prizes.

Playstation 3 Price Cut

For those who do not own a Sony’s PlayStation 3, maybe April is the right time to purchase one. Even though it seems that people do realize the value of video games compared to other ways of entertainment, the PlayStation 3 game console is still a way behind competing Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii in terms of price range. “Despite the high manufacturing costs of PlayStation 3, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. will lower the price of the system this April reported by Sony’s Analyst. Sony’s PlayStation 3 have been slowing down in the recent months because of the high price and global economic problems, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. will reduce the price of the entry-level PS3 to $299, which is just $50 higher than the price of Nintendo Wii and is inline with the cost of Microsoft Xbox 360 60GB console. The price-cut should boost popularity of the PS3, which retails for $399 today, among consumers who are cutting down their spending because of gloomy economic outlook. But the price-cut may not be exactly what Sony would like to do with the PlayStation 3. Each PS3 video game machine still costs $448 to build despite of the official price tag of $399, therefore, the manufacturer is losing money on every unit sold. Sony Group, the parent company of SCEI, is rumored to post $1.12 billion loss in March for the fiscal year and Sony’s video game unit said earlier that this year the company will concentrate on making money, not cutting prices.

I think once the Sony makes this price cut on the PlayStation 3 it will be more affordable for Electronic consumers and the sales of Sony’s PlayStation 3 will begin to grow. Remember PlayStation 3 is not only a gaming console, it’s also a True HD 1080p Blu-Ray DVD player. In addition, if you have a laptop or a desktop you can link the two together and get special features on your PlayStation 3. Also, of course if your a real electronic lover get the PlayStation Portable, with that you can access everything on your PlayStation 3 from your nice PSP 11 cm LCD screen anywhere with wireless Internet connection.

Also, the Sony’s PlayStation 3 hard-drive can be easily upgraded. In fact, that was the point of the back up system, for you to upgrade your hard-drive. The Highest 2.5 hard-drive is 500 GB.  The PlayStation 3 uses a Sea Gate 80GB/160 GB 5400 rpm 2.5″(Laptop Form Factor) Hard drive.  Backing up and Reloading the PlayStation 3 software is easy as 00000001, 00000010, 00000011!

ZOMG PS3 RESISTANCE 2 BETA IS OVER but do not worry the real game comes out November 4, 2008. The Resistance 2 beta was released October 16, 2008. Basically you have to pre-order Resistance 2 at your local Game Stop and then an e-mail is sent to you with your beta key and instructions. However, Resistance 2 beta was promptly over at October 30 midnight. Resistance 2 is excellent game to play since it has so many game modes such as single-player, co-op, online co-op, multi-player and online multi-player. I played online co-op campaign the whole time While the beta was up. The cooperative online campaign support up to 8 players including yourself.In the co-op campaign there will be three classes: the medic, the soldier, and special ops, each with different specialized abilities. The soldier can wield powerful weapons and has substantially more hit points than the other classes. Those who choose the special ops(The Class I Picked) specialize in dealing long-distance damage with greater speed and accuracy. The medic is perhaps the most unique, they wield a weapon which can heal allies, but it must be recharged by taking out foes. This requires medics to balance offensive and defensive duties in order to continue to be able to utilize their healing skills. The player will get to level up their characters to unlock new guns and character skins. The player can play as any three and will not lose any progress if they switch class, the max level one of the classes can reach is 30. however, on the Resistance 2 Beta the max level was 10 for the co-op campaign. The Online Multi-player has a max of 60 players in team death match and core control a.k.a “Skirmish”. Resistance 2 is going to be amazing game to own and this is one of those games that will have people buying PlayStation 3 just to play this. On November 4, 2008 Resistance 2 will be available for to buy. On Tuesday go get Resistance, and if you don’t have PlayStation 3 go get one.

E3 for Xbox360

Hello, this is your technology manic, True Gamer.

I just got through watching the first piece of E3 for 08 live on G4TV. Xbox360 were first to handle the stage for the e3 convention. CEO of Square Enix, Yoichi Wada had ”super” announcement that Final Fantasy XIII (13) will release on the Xbox360 first. And they made seem like it was going to be an exclusive only on the Xbox360. However, Final Fantasy XIII (13) will be released on the PlayStation 3 at the same time. I do not see how that is exclusive. All I have to give a kudos to Microsoft for spending roughly 50 millions dollars to get a game on your console, it really good look. Also, they showed their new interface for Xbox360 and it was not compelling at all. The details were a bit shady, however Xbox360 representatives said that live members will soon to be able watch Netflix movies via the digital distribution of XBLM with no extra charge and they also stated that Netflix movies that movies that are download can be shared with others XBLM through an aforementioned party system. They talked about their avatar system which has been done by the Wii and also by PlayStation 3 too. Over all I think I wasted about 3 hrs of my life on a lot of half truths and the spokesmen of Xbox360 had the nerve to say the of the Xbox360 sales out weight the Wii and PlayStation 3 sales combined, which is false. The Wii is hot, PlayStation 3 is just sexy and Xbox360 is just a paperweight.
